Many people who take medication to treat depression find that it does not relieve their symptoms. This treatment resistant depression may occur in up to 50% of sufferers. New research from the University of Texas Southwestern claims that many sufferers could benefit from a change of medication and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
The latest results from the longitudinal study on the impact of childcare run by the American National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) have shown that high quality childcare before the age of 5 can have a postive effect on academic achievement at age 15.

Become More Powerful By Using The Force

In the Star Wars film series, Jedi Knights, such as Luke Skywalker, used the Light Side of The Force to give them special powers, like psychokinesis. By stretching this analogy to its limits, you too can become stronger and more powerful by doing good things, such as helping people or even imagining yourself helping people. I'm not sure about the psychokinesis though...
What is Institutional Aggression? Institutional Aggression can be defined as aggressive behaviour that occurs within an institution and is motivated by social forces, rather than anger or frustration. An institution usually refers to an organisation or place of confinement with its own social roles where behaviour is formally restricted and under the control of specific staff; for example, prisons, hospitals, army camps and boarding schools.
Deindividuation refers to the phenomenon of a person losing their inhibitions because they are no longer identifiable. One way that people can become deindividuated is when they are part of a large group or a crowd. Deindividuation has been used to explain why people who are usually well-behaved can become violent during, for example, riots.
